The third truce is thwarted

Azerbaycan ordusu, cephe hattındaki Ermenistan ordusuna ait mevzilere top atışı gerçekleştirdi. ( Ruslan Rehimov - Anadolu Ajansı )

Another “truce” or ceasefire in hostilities between the occupying army of Armenia and the armed forces of Azerbaijan, in its western part, was again thwarted, and as it has already become a tradition, Yerevan thwarted these agreements by shelling internal settlements of Azerbaijan from its territory.

This provocative tactic has already become the signature of the Armenian side, since it still hopes to get an excuse to announce an attack on its territory and, on this basis, appeal to the Russian Federation for military assistance within the framework of the agreement on mutual assistance and collective security, which underlies the CSTO.

This is exactly what happens this time too, but the agreement that had been derailed had somewhat different features than before. In this case, President Trump personally mediated, but the Armenians themselves, in fact, gave him the cold shoulder. Trump has already reacted and expressed regret and disappointment with this course of events.

This time, Barda, a population center, came under fire, where killed and wounded civilians were again reported. In this respect, Azerbaijan responded a little differently from what Yerevan had expected. Instead of attacks on the territory of Armenia, Azerbaijan today filed a lawsuit in the European Court of Human Rights.

In this lawsuit, Baku accused Armenia of shelling from its territory peaceful localities, as well as transferring its own military units to Azerbaijan, along with all types of “volunteers” and outright mercenaries, some of them have already been captured and they are making confessions. Today it has become known that the lawsuit was accepted by the court.

But this is not the whole response that Azerbaijan demonstrates to the actions of Armenia. As usual, the Azerbaijani military focused on burning everything that is located on their territory under the flags of Armenia. It seems that after a month of battles, the situation began to change at the general, strategic level.

The vanguard of the Armenian forces has already used up the stored in advanced ammunition, food, and other types of provisions, and the Azerbaijani side methodically destroys the logistics vehicles and therefore the supply simply does not reach the front line. Some of the equipment abandoned by the Armenians was simply left without fuel, and the other part was abandoned because the hungry military simply refused to fight without a backup of air defense systems when any vehicle or combat vehicle becomes a priority target for drones.

So, on October 27, a large number of enemy manpower was destroyed in various directions of the front; the  9K33 Osa (English: wasp), three BM-21 Grad MLRS, six D-30 artillery mounts, five D-20 guns and a howitzer D-44, two long-range guns Giasint-B, 1 120 mm mortar, 1 AT-5 Spandrel Konkurs (English: Contest) and 6 units of enemy vehicles were put out of action.

Moreover, this is exactly what the Azerbaijani military has already been performing so massively and masterly that, perhaps, they become world experts in this field and, probably, they even outpaces their Turkish and certainly Israeli colleagues. After all, it is one thing – targeted, within the framework of a special operation, the use of drones or the use of only one type of machine, as  Turkey did, and quite another thing of what the Azerbaijanis do.

In fact, they bring down the enemy both with bombs and missiles included in the arsenal of the unmanned combat aerial vehicle Bayraktar TB2, along with patrolling, disposable kamikaze drones made in Israel. Not a single army in the world has such a massive use of these machines, and even more so, the combination of the use of these weapons systems.

And, no less important, the process itself of the intensive use of new weapons systems gives the rapid professional growth of these military personnel, and today they certainly show much higher skill than on September 27, and this skill  is growing every day of active hostilities. Therefore, as soon as the Armenians begin to fire the Azerbaijani localities with rockets, their soldiers on the front line and in their rear immediately get this.

And if at the beginning of hostilities everyone unequivocally kept saying that mainly Azerbaijani troops were fully supported by Turkey, now there are few who find grounds to doubt that the Azerbaijani military themselves are acting decisively, professionally and effectively. That is to say, they have shown themselves as a skillful, equipped and already experienced military force.

And in this world, it does not reckon with ties (although with them too), but with the unconditional power that the Azerbaijani army is becoming before our eyes. Only yesterday in the Russian Federation they were laughing their head off at the mention of the Azerbaijani army, but now the prisoners, in pure Russian, are shouting in horror: “No need, I will tell you everything!” And now instead of ridicule and mockery, anger and hatred are coming from the Russian Federation.

We know very well what this means. The same metamorphosis took place in relation to our army, when the “vacationers” began to be beaten up in such a way that the vaunted Russian paratroopers were either collected in parts, or military medics caught those running across the steppe with trousers of a suspicious and clearly not authorized color.

So, in such a situation, the attitude towards Azerbaijan and its army begins to change even among the obvious ill-wishers. As, the French Le Monde today does not write about its views on these events, but describes what is happening in Iran on this occasion. Frankly, reading this today in the central French edition was very unexpected.

They write there that Iran, which initially reacted favorably to Armenia’s position in this conflict, is now changing its rhetoric and says that hostilities should be stopped, but emphasizes that certain conditions must be created for this, including a withdraw all Armenian troops from the territory of Azerbaijan. But Baku itself has been talking about this for a whole month, they say like get out of our land and the war will end by itself.

In general, events are developing in the way that is beneficial to Azerbaijan. It drains the Armenian army, both in terms of personnel and in terms of material. Grinding all this on his territory, it will receive a guarantee that after the exile of the occupier to its territory, the last one  simply will not have the strength to plan again something like that. Thus, the old wisdom is confirmed, which says “Walk and ye shall reach”.

This article causes me anxiety. From my experience, an English-speaking news source reporting on NK conflict should necessarily quote a handful of experts with Armenian names. How can I trust a news piece that is not commented on by John Doeyan? 🙂

    Good.
Але для більшого розповсюдження і нищівного накопичувального удару по кацапії із цього боку треба у заголовку якось подати коротко ключові слова для пошуковиків. Наприклад (karabah war)

Unfortunately, most of Western sources strictly follow Armenia’s POV, by peddling armenian/russian propaganda sources and painting Karabakh as “Historically Armenian” lands, and thus trying to appoint Azerbaijan as agressor. I was shocked by amount of Americans thinking that Armenia is a pro-Western democracy and Azerbaijan is a genocidal puppet of Turkey.
